The convention was carried almost entirely by one prefix: checkpoint:.

Conventional prefixes across the whole history

Every one of those 109 checkpoint: commits landed in December 2025 or January 2026. The prefix appears zero times after that.

The reason is in the file tree, not the messages. The package was called bloggy until 2026-02-04, when it was renamed to vyasa. The last bloggy/ commit and the first vyasa/ commit share that date.

Project lifetime, in days
bloggy — 56vyasa — 207
bloggy: 2025-12-11 to 2026-02-04. vyasa: 2026-02-04 to 2026-08-30.

bloggy lived 56 days and 126 commits. Of those 126, 109 were checkpoints — 86.5%. The rename ended the era and the habit at the same time. February then absorbed 155 commits of restructuring, none of them formatted.

The lesson is not "write better messages." It is that a large rename resets conventions unless something enforces them.
